Accu Limited - www.accu.co.uk
- Haggwood Stone Quarry, Woodhead Road, Huddersfield HD9 6PW, United Kingdom email, Tel. |
products: Vented Screws
Vented Screws, also called Vacuum Screws, Ventilation Screws, or simply Hollow Screws, feature a hollow core, and are specially designed to allow the release of gases and pressure through the middle of the fastener. Vented Screws allow surface contaminants to be extracted from blind-tapped holes, and can also prevent pockets of gas from becoming trapped at the base of blind drilled holes, which can cause virtual leaks under vacuum. |
Automotion Components Ltd - www.automotioncomponents.co.uk
- Alexia House, Glenmore Business Park, Portfield Works, Chichester, PO19 7BJ, United Kingdom email, Tel. Automotion Components is a leading UK manufacturer of vented screws. We can produce bespoke vented screws to customer drawings and have a wide range of different head types, materials and finishing options available to provide the best product for your application. |
products: Ventilation Screws
Vented screws are designed for applications where trapped bubbles of air can cause problems - for example, in glove boxes and clean rooms. The vent allows trapped air under the screw to be released quickly. Therefore, systems that are subjected to vacuum conditions can reach low pressures more quickly - and indeed remain at low pressures more effectively. Our vented screws are best used with vented washers, which also allow trapped air under the screw's head to be released. Since vacuum (HV and UHV) environments must also be ultra-clean, we also provide ultrasonic cleaning and/or passivation (for AISI 316 series stainless steel products) on request. To reduce seizing or galling, we can also offer a range of coatings for our vented screws |
Fastenright Limited - www.fastenright.com
- Ward Street, Wolverhampton, West Midlands WV1 3LT, United Kingdom email, Tel. Fastenright Ltd, established in 1983, is a leading supplier of quality fasteners and fixings. We supply a range of standard and security fasteners to numerous industries including the automotive, rail, oil and gas industries. |
products: Vented Fasteners help eliminate virtual leaks from HV and UHV systems
A selection of Vented Screws, also known as Vacuum Screws, featuring a hollow core, and are specially designed to release gases and pressure through the middle of the fastener. Vented Screws are widely used within vacuum systems. Quite often, these fasteners are used alongside vented washers. These components allow surface contaminants to be extracted and prevent pockets of gas from becoming trapped. |
FTI Ltd - www.ftipv.com
- 5 Brooklands Park, Farningham Road, Crowborough, East Sussex TN6 2JD, United Kingdom email, Tel. |
products: Vacuum Vented Screws
FTI are able to supply vented vacuum screws with no minimum order quantity, at a very competitive price and quick lead time. A vented screw has a hole drilled through its axis and thus provides an outlet for trapped air and surface contaminants to be pumped away from blind-tapped screw holes. This enables faster, more efficient pump-down of HV and UHV systems and eliminates virtual leaks. |
Reliance Precision Limited - www.reliance.co.uk
- Rowley Mills, Penistone Road, Lepton, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire HD8 0LE, United Kingdom email, Tel. Reliance Precision is a specialist engineering company, with over 50 years' experience in providing custom-built, high reliability, precision instrumentation to customers from a diverse range of global markets. Our engineering capabilities include design, development, prototyping, manufacturing, assembly and test, complemented by a catalogue of precision motion control components and electro-mechanical assemblies. |
products: Ventilation Screws
Mainly used in clean room outgassing chamber environments, Reliance's stainless steel ventilation socket head cap screws are drilled through the central axis to assist cavity ventilation in vacuum and high vacuum assemblies and components. Also available with a slotted head, they are primarily designed to remove or release trapped gas which may otherwise lead to contamination and virtual leaks within clean critical systems. Ventilation screws are often used to release pockets of gas at the base of blind, tapped holes. |
